Birdies For The Brave is a golf event, reception, and auction that helps support U.S. Troops and their families. Each TPC course among the PGA TOUR network of course host an annual Birdies For The Brave event. I was fortunate enough to photograph this event for TPC River’s Bend. The morning started off great with a grand entrance from Sgt. First Class Dana Bowman. Dana is a double amputee retired Army Special Forces, skydiver and motivational speaker who travels the world inspiring amputees. Check out his story!

The rest of the afternoon was filled with golf and great weather. The evening ended with dinner, a few touching speeches, and a live and silent auction to raise money for each charity and organization involved with Birdies For The Brave. The staff at River’s Bend did an amazing job on and off the course. Looking forward to participating again next year! Special thanks to the winner of my fine art photograph from the Smokies.
